Eligibility: Registration for the 2023 EMDR Regional Meeting is open to all clinicians who have completed any part of an EMDRIA-approved basic EMDR training.
Cancellation: Reservations may be cancelled for a full refund up until one week prior to the event; after that date, no refunds will be given. If you register and pay for the presentation and do not attend and do not cancel, your registration fee will be forfeited. If you register but your check is not received within a week of your registration, your registration may be voided.
CE Credits: This presentation offers 3 Continuing Education credits. TO RECEIVE CE CREDIT PARTICIPANTS MUST COMPLETE THE ENTIRE DAY (3 HOURS).

This presentation has been approved for 3 EMDRIA credits for live attendance. EMDRIA credits for distance learning (watching the recording) have been applied for and are under review. Introduction to the Flash Technique
In the four years since the Flash Technique was introduced at the 2019 EMDRIA Conference it has been refined and improved, and been validated by many research studies. In this presentation we will describe the most up-to-date instructions for the technique and briefly summarize the evidence for its effectiveness. We will show a clinical video that illustrates the most current application of the technique, and lead an exercise that gives each participant a brief personal experience of the Flash Technique. Although a variety of applications of the Flash Technique have emerged over the past four years, we will confine our discussion to its use in the preparation phase of EMDR in a manner consistent with the Adaptive Information Processing model. Time permitting, we will include a short live demonstration and answer questions about the technique.
